Midwest United FC proudly announces the 9th annual Midwest United Cup, August 19-20th, 2016. Teams will compete from all across the Midwest and Canada for the prestigious Midwest United Cup. Our main facility is the state-of-the-art MSA Fieldhouse and additional sites will be all within 20 mins of our central location, with Hotels all located next to MSA. The other main sites are Brewer Park, Port Sheldon and Thornapple Kellogg HS which boast 8 grass fields each. Only local West Michigan based teams will play Friday night games, unless otherwise requested.

This tournament provides an excellent pre-State Cup and pre-season event with quality competition and venues and stress free check-in at MSA. All coaches will be accommodated to avoid game conflicts. The tournament is sanctioned by MSYSA and US Soccer. Experience the great atmosphere of downtown Grand Rapids and we are close to the West Michigan Beaches if you have time between games. The Hotels are all right on 28th St close to the Mall so there is plenty to do between games!

Last year we hosted 340 teams in the tournament. We expect to attract over 360 teams this year and make this tournament even better than before!

The Showcase segment we run for the U16-U18G has been a huge success. We had very good competition and lots of representation from many Midwest college coaches. All top level showcase games are played at the same location which give the coaches an excellent opportunity to scout multiple players.

Team Selection
Team acceptance to the Midwest United Cup will be completed by the "Selection Committee". Notifications are sent to all teams. The selection process is assisted by the information provided to the tournament on your application- example - team records, level of play, out of town/state vs local teams (to achieve a balance), performance in post-season tournaments including the "Midwest United Cup", etc. It is important to provide as much information as possible to assist the committee in properly evaluating your team. Cashing of the entry fee does not indicate acceptance to the tournament. We ONLY accept paid teams. If we do not receive your payment by the deadline, your team may not be considered.

Accomodations
The 2017 Midwest United Cup has teamed up with its official housing service, Traveling Teams, to bring your team the utmost service for its housing needs. This will help make the process of reserving rooms easier and more reliable. If you wish to participate in the 2017 Midwest United Cup, you must use one of the hotels provided by Traveling Teams.
